		Members Section Last Updated 6th September 2008 The members section is an area that registered members will have access to special downloads plus we will manage and arrange unique projects our members will have access too. The members section will also give members the opportunity to display and to promote their work. This service was started to help the hobby photographer to create interesting outputs from their pictures. How many of us like to do something with our pictures but never get the time to do so or just do not know how to take that first step. Its easy to say make a slide show on DVD or make a photo book if you have done it before, but for the first time, well lets just say its not always that easy. In the members section we will start interesting projects and by taking part you will not only learn how to get started you will also have the chance to sell your work if you interested to do so.



	But I prefer to do it..... The old way I can hear people saying. I have never made a slide show before and I prefer to place my pictures in a photo album. That’s correct and yes many people make wonderful photo albums today. Scrapbooking is a huge hobby across many Countries and people enjoy making lovely scrapbook photo albums. Doing a scrapbook album is one of the projects we can start here plus if you like to take pictures of a few of your albums you welcome to mail them to Pius and he will put it up on the members pictures slide show. My wife is a scrapper and I understand. Its a more serious hobby than folks buying photographic toys....

	What will you need? Will you need anything to get started? Yes you will have to consider a few options that will include buying things like editing software, free downloads and services provided by internet providers. We will replace your traditional office desk at home with a digital desktop on your PC. Siegfried what are you doing, some of you might say....we know all this. Yes its true folks but one of the reasons for doing this is to also help people who have not done it before. The first and most important thing to do is to register on our site forum. There you will be able to ask other members questions and there you will be able to get the best possible help. Please do that as soon as possible. We have some well experienced photographers that are ready to help should you have any questions.

What are the basic things I need to do to be ready?

You basically need to do 4 steps to be ready for taking part in the projects we will do together on the site. Keep in mind that not everybody wants or likes to sell their work. That’s OK, you can still enjoy doing a project with us, the only difference will be you will not “commercialize” or sell your product. The following is a short list of what you will require:

Photoshop Elements:

Folks if you use something else its OK, the benefit for somebody using Elements is that it will be easy for many of us to help you. We also have guys using PaintShop Pro. I do not think we have many guys using “other” commercial software.

You need to register at Lulu.com

Once you have done that you will understand why I enjoy working with Lulu. They have an excellent service and they have a number of different options you can try. The next advantage of registering is that you can become part of a lulu group we will form on a regular basis on Lulu to help us complete projects.

Its good to register with PayPal

I have been using PayPal for two years now and never had any problem. As with many things there are always risk, you need to be careful and never reply on any mails asking you to confirm a password. Registering with Paypal will enable you to do a commercial transaction without having a store. For example its possible to mail somebody a bill using PayPal and to then receive payment with the customer using his or hers credit card on PayPal. Its a great service.

In the future you will have to register as a member if you like to be part of future projects. The reason is simple, its a way to measure, its a way to communicate and its a way to promote out activities.
