We had a great summer in Switzerland this year and I was fortunate to be in a position to fully enjoy the summer. That meant being out with my camera a lot and not behind my PC. The site has been standing still a little, well the first snow has hit the ground and its now time to again.....

With this blog I decided to visit dynamic range again. Should we ignore dynamic range or should one try to understand this much discussed subject?. I think its good to have a good understanding because it will help you to make other decisions in terms of picture editing, HDR techniques plus it can influence buying decisions.

Photoshop Elements 6, should one buy it and is it really that good. Lets have a brief overview of the Editing software. What does one expect from software like this and all things considered is it not best to just go and download a free package like GIMP?
