Photoshop Elements 5 or 6

One can buy only the Photoshop Elements or it is possible to buy Photoshop in combination with the video package from Adobe, called Premier Elements. The latter is in its 4th version.

Combined the a very powerful package. For example somebody with a compact like the G7 or the G9 could find the combo pack better because now its possible to combine short video clips into slide shows or other outputs.

Photoshop Elements Techniques is one of the best training web sites I came across. It is possible to subscribe for one year and if you decide to get Elements I will strongly advice you to subscribe for at least one year. They have many training videos on line covering a large number of Elements functions. You can also buy a DVD from them with many training videos. This site will reduce your self training time to get to know Elements with up to 80%.

One of the “weaknesses” of Elements is the fact that it does not have a extensive Curves module build in. Download the Smart Curves as a free plug-in and you will be pleasantly surprised at what is can do.

Excellent site for down loading new brushes plus lots of other goodies, worth a visit.

Interesting web site with some of the big names in terms of Photoshop training. It is possible to subscribe plus one can view a free video on occasion. Good place to link from to other interesting services.

One of my favorite sites for finding plug ins. One can virtually find anything here and if not careful one can get carried away completely.
