PTLens3

Developed by Tom Niemann from Portland in Oregon, PTLens is now in its 8th version. It competes or compares with software like DxO and Photoshop CSx. It’s function is to automate distortion correction. Each lens will distort if the back plane of the camera or sensor is not 100% parallel to the subject surface.

In addition PTLens will take in account parameters carefully measured and stored in a database. For example both the E-330 and the E-410 I have plus the lenses I have is calibrated.

Without trying to sound clever, best is to show a before and after picture and you can decide for yourself if this 15$ package is worth it. Personally I have been using it for some versions already and I love it. Without much  stress I have corrected many pictures that displayed lens “problems”
